TETLEY’S ARTIST ASSOCIATES PROGRAMME (TAAP)
We have launched a new scheme sponsored by Tetley’s Brewery to support emerging talent in Leeds. The year-long programme will support the development of artists through a bespoke programme of mentoring and development and hopes to foster a new generation of artists and help provide opportunities for artists in Leeds and Yorkshire.
Artists will be selected by a panel including Bryony Bond, Artistic Director, The Tetley; Laurence Sillars, Head of Exhibitions, Henry Moore Institute and Rehana Zaman, artist.
Details on how to apply and further information on the scheme can be downloaded here.
Download our Equal Opportunities form here. Deadline to apply is 9am Monday 6 August.
One of Britain’s oldest and best loved ales was brewed in Leeds at Tetley’s Brewery for nearly 200 years and has a strong and proud history that is synonymous with the city. Tetley’s still lives by its founder Joshua Tetley’s mantra ‘quality pays’ and centuries on still produces its signature double strain yeast, giving Tetley’s beers their unique taste.

Our exhibitions are programmed in house and are scheduled at least one year in advance. We focus primarily on solo exhibitions of artists based in Britain and internationally, or work with guest curators on group shows and often show displays from collections and archives revealing hidden histories alongside contemporary work. The selection of artists is undertaken by the programme team, led by the Artistic Director. The Tetley often works in partnership with other organisations in Britain and abroad, with current collaborations with Karachi Biennale, Pakistan, Colombo Art Biennale, Sri Lanka and Liverpool Biennial through the New North and South partnership. As exhibitions arise from direct invitations and through partnerships, we do not accept unsolicited proposals for exhibitions and do not hire out spaces for exhibitions.
