Performance: Le Ver Troyen

  • Wed 22 Nov
  • 12–1pm
  • First Floor Galleries, The Tetley
  • Free, drop-in

Leeds Beckett University Fine Art Students present Le Ver Troyen, a wearable, expandable sculpture animated by twenty performers.

Wearing this worm-like structure, the performers navigate through and around The Tetley’s gallery spaces.

Made with fabric used to make medical uniforms, Le Ver Troyen facilitates and represents the recovery of creative activity following periods of stasis or creative blockage.

Each year, Fine Art undergraduate students from Leeds Beckett School of Arts add to the sculpture’s surface, accumulating decoration and creating a collective archive of the art school.

About

Le Ver Troyen is part of Our Community Takeover programme, celebrating ten years of community participation at The Tetley before we leave the building on 17 December.
