Jem Clancy: Film Screenings

  • Wed 23 Feb
  • 10am–5pm
  • South Bank Room, The Tetley
  • Free, no booking required

Jem Clancy presents an installation of films and animations developed during Tetley’s Associate Artists’ Programme.

Clancy’s hand drawn animations explore different ways of capturing dance and movement based on her choreography work with other dancers.

Inviting the dancers to consider what dance means to them, she uses line drawings to create energetic figures which inhabit personal worlds and reveal stories about each dancer.

Working with projection, Clancy invites us to move through the space between the illuminated figures.

Online screening

We also screened Clancy’s animations online too for one week only, until Wednesday 2 March.

We recommend that you use headphones for an immersive experience.
