Autumn at The Tetley

Journal 12 Aug 2022

We’re gearing up for an exciting autumn here at The Tetley!

Join us to see not one but two new exhibitions; pop in to our brand new weekly workshop for families, and get our next Makers’ Market in your diary.

Exhibitions

In September, visit us to see Hibiscus Rising: Creating a memorial for David Oluwale with Yinka Shonibare CBE, an exhibition in collaboration with The David Oluwale Memorial Association and LEEDS 2023 Year of Culture, imagining the future of David Oluwale’s legacy in Leeds.

Opening in October, artist-curators ROOT-ed Zine present Retrospect, Reality, Reform, a group show offering a platform for reflective, unfiltered and liberating perspectives from artists of colour.

Makers Lab

Starting in September, join us for free family workshops every Saturday 11am–3pm!

Perfect for children aged 5–11, experiment with paint, clay, food and other exciting new materials and techniques for making art.

Together with your grown-ups, join The Tetley staff and special guest artists to get creative and make a mess.
