Participation

Participation

At The Tetley, 'Participation' is about both how local communities take part in contemporary art, and how we as an organisation participate in the life of our community.

Our ambitious Participation programme is led by regional and international artists, and our projects include:

  • collaborative exhibitions;
  • free family workshops;
  • dedicated spaces for children and young people;
  • and key partnerships with local organisations, providing space and practical support for community projects that support marginalised people.

Through art-making, we invite our collaborators to explore risk-taking and creative expression, making time and space for contemporary art in our day to day lives.
