Family Art Workshops
Every other Saturday, 11am – 3pm
Family Art Workshops are creative activity sessions led by artists. Inspired by our programme and our building, activities include everything from making simple prints, to designing robots, book-making and creating recycled crafts.
These drop-in activities are open to all but are especially suitable for families with children aged 5 – 11. Visitors can stay for as long or as little as they like. Activities are free and no booking is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For details, see here.
Every month, 10:30am- 12:45pm
Bring the little ones along to join in creative and messy play. FREE. Tiny Tetley workshops take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month and are led by artists with great skills with the under fives. Inspired by all things creative, activities can include anything from sensory activities to playing with lots of different types of bright colourful materials and drawing on a big scale.
Due to increasing popularity, advanced booking is now required for Tiny Tetley workshops. Information on Tiny Tetley can be found here.
After School Art Club
Every Tuesday in term time
The Tetley runs an After School Art Club, ‘Art Smart Superstars’, that takes place every Tuesday during school term-time. This enables a number of children from four local Primary Schools in South Leeds, St Joseph’s, New Bewerley, Hunslet Moor and Hunslet Carr, to take part in regular free creative activities at The Tetley. Each team the club undertakes a major project inspired by our programme and there are periodic displays of work created by members of the club on show at The Tetley.
The After School Art Club is generously supported by the Igen Trust.
An arts programme for young people at The Tetley
