Role: Business Development Manager

The Tetley is developing new strategies to become more financially sustainable by increasing income through our commercial activities and private giving. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and ambitious person to cultivate new relationships with clients in Leeds and throughout the UK.

The Business Development Manager will join our development team and will work closely with the Creative Director and Commercial Director to develop and maintain The Tetley’s relationships with existing clients and to develop new business. We already hire out our event spaces to a varied range of individuals and corporations, but there is capacity to grow this and to maximise the use of our Bar & Kitchen to further support our artistic programme.

The Tetley also presents exceptional opportunities to forge relationships with corporate clients and individuals through partnerships, sponsorship and private giving. The Business Development Manager will work with the Creative Director to develop this offer and build new relationships.

Role: Programme Assistant (Casual)
Deadline for applications: 3rd June 2016 at 10am
Wage: £6.70 – 7.20 p/h

The Tetley wishes to recruit a small number of Programme Assistants to support our Programme Co-ordinators in gallery invigilation and occasionally other duties including event support.

Programme Assistants are a vital member of our team, representing the public face of The Tetley and being the first point of contact between visitors and our artistic programme. It is their role to provide a positive, welcoming experience for visitors by engaging with them face-to-face in a friendly, helpful manner.

Programme Assistants respond to visitor requests for information and also help visitors engage with art as well as events and activities at The Tetley. They are also responsible for monitoring the security of art and the safety of our visitors during gallery opening hours and for gathering and feeding back information on the visitor experience.

Programme Assistants also play a role in the wider delivery of the programme on occasion by supporting events, workshops and exhibition installation and de-installation.

Role: Artist for Kirkstall Public Art Commission
Total project budget: £44,000
Deadline for applications: 10am on 22nd July 2016

The Tetley is working in partnership with Leeds City Council to commission a new public artwork in the community of Kirkstall. It will be sited on an area of landscaping in front of the Kirkstall Leisure Centre at the crossroads between Abbey Lane, Kirkstall Lane, Bridge Road and Kirkstall Road. We wish to appoint a contemporary artist or artists as the principal lead on the commission.
