FAMILY ART WORKSHOP: OAK TREE TRANSFORMATION
Saturday 22 July, 11am - 3pm
Explore the our current exhibition Refinding: Jessie Flood-Paddock with Kenneth Armitage and observe the oak trees; which are portrayed in a variety of mediums and are the focal point of the Kenneth Armitage work on display.
Then, join us in the learning studio to create an abstract mask, taking inspiration from the different forms and colours they encountered. There will be a wide selection of natural materials available to decorate the masks with.

Family Art Workshops are creative activity sessions led by artists. Inspired by our programme and our building, activities have included everything from making simple prints, to designing robots, book-making and creating recycled crafts.
These drop-in activities are open to all but are especially suitable for families with children aged 5 – 11. Visitors can stay for as long or as little as they like. Activities are free and no booking is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
